India escalates harassment of Pakistani diplomats in New Delhi

Diplomatic tensions between Pakistan and India have flared once again, with Islamabad accusing New Delhi of intensifying harassment of Pakistani diplomats stationed in India, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Monday.

According to diplomatic sources, Indian authorities have allegedly been targeting Pakistani envoys in the aftermath of India's defeat in Operation Banyan Al-Marsoos, venting political frustrations through actions that violate established diplomatic norms.

Reports indicate that Pakistani diplomats in New Delhi are under constant surveillance, with their residences frequently facing disruptions in gas and internet services.

Sources also claim that Indian officials have been issuing eviction orders for houses allocated to Pakistani diplomats — in some cases before the expiry of lease agreements.

So far, four to five diplomats have reportedly been ordered to vacate their residences. The latest incident involved an eviction notice served well before the contract’s completion date, prompting strong concern from Islamabad over what it views as deliberate harassment.

Pakistani diplomatic circles have condemned the actions, terming them a blatant violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which guarantees the safety, dignity, and working conditions of accredited foreign diplomats.
