Lahore police seize 6.5kg ice, arrest alleged drug supplier
Police have arrested a suspected drug supplier and recovered 6.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as ice, during a routine checking operation in Lahore, a DIG Operations spokesperson said on Tuesday.
The spokesperson said police stopped a suspicious man near Bakar Mandi Nala and recovered 6kg and 500 grams of ice during a search.
The arrested suspect was identified as Hayat Khan, a resident of Loralai district in Balochistan.
Police said the drugs were allegedly being transported from Balochistan to Lahore.
A case has been registered against the suspect and further legal proceedings have been initiated.
The accused has been handed over to the Investigation Wing for further questioning.
The DIG Operations spokesperson said police were pursuing a zero-tolerance policy against those involved in drug trafficking and dealing.
