Is Mahira Khan teasing a ‘Maula Jatt’ comeback? Not everyone is excited
Pakistani superstar Mahira Khan has taken fans on a nostalgic trip back to country’s one of the most celebrated cinematic blockbuster, leaving fans wondering whether the world of ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ could make a comeback.
Four years after the release of the blockbuster, Mahira shared a throwback poster of The Legend of Maula Jatt on her Instagram story. She tagged producer Ammara Hikmat and director Bilal Lashari and added a short but intriguing message: “Oh maybe we should do this again.”
Her story has already got people wondering, could another ‘Maula Jatt’ be on the way?
The seemingly casual remark was enough to set social media abuzz, with fans immediately speculating about the possibility of a sequel or another project set within the same cinematic universe.

For many fans, the idea of seeing Mahira, Fawad Khan and the rest of the star studded cast together again was exciting. One follower expressed her enthusiasm, writing, “Would love to watch something like Maula Jatt which has Mahira, Fawad and all other great actors. But they take forever in making and releasing a movie like Maula Jatt.”

However, not everyone was ready to celebrate the idea. Some social media users used the opportunity to revisit criticism of Mahira’s acting, while others questioned her Punjabi accent in the film.

One user sarcastically commented, “Han bas isy hi cast karty jao. Acting ho na ho,” which translates to, “Yes, just keep casting her like this, whether she can act or not.”
Another viewer was more specific in her criticism, “Noo please she can’t act and that terrible Punjabi accent even after classes says a lot. She is a star but she’s not the best.”

For now, Mahira has only dropped a hint but judging by the reaction, one nostalgic Instagram story was more than enough to reopen the Maula Jatt conversation.
