PTI chairman condemns Rawalpindi terror attack, calls for impartial probe
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan has strongly condemned the terrorism incident in Rawalpindi and called for a transparent, fair and impartial investigation to establish the facts, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.
Barrister Gohar said terrorism was a serious threat to the country and must be eliminated at all costs.
He stressed that PTI was a peaceful political party and did not believe in terrorism.
He said no terrorist had any connection with PTI, its leadership or any of its wings.
He added that acts of terrorism posed a serious threat to peace and stability and that those responsible must be brought to justice.
The PTI chairman called for a complete and impartial investigation into the Rawalpindi incident so that the facts could emerge.
He urged authorities not to blame any political party or group without evidence and said the investigation should be based solely on facts and evidence.
Barrister Gohar said whoever was found responsible for the incident should face punishment according to law.
He said maintaining peace and law and order was a collective responsibility and stressed that effective measures were essential to eliminate terrorism from the country.
