Court grants 14-day judicial remand of Imran Khan in May 9 cases

A court has granted a 14-day judicial remand of former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf founder Imran Khan in 12 cases related to the May 9 riots, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The case was heard by Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Malik Ijaz Asif at Adiala Jail on Thursday.

The Rawalpindi police beseeched the court to grant a 30-day physical remand of Imran Khan.

But the court rejected their plea and granted a 14-day judicial remand of the former premier in 12 cases of terrorism related to May 9 violence.

Advocate Malik Faisal and Sardar Shahbaz Khosa appeared in the court on behalf of Imran Khan.
