SHO, IO suspended, booked over death of accused in police custody in Tarnol

Islamabad Station House Officer (SHO) Tarnol Shaukat Abbasi and the investigation officer were suspended and booked in the murder case of an accused who died in mysterious circumstances in police custody at Tarnol police station, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Friday. A case was registered against the police officers at Tarnol police station. Other sections, including murder, were included in the case. The police arrested the accused Noman from Mianwali. Police officers Rana Saleem, Zaheer Ahmed and Sajid Mahmood put him behind the bar in police station. 

 According to FIR, police officers transferred the accused from custody to the interrogation room at night and tortured him.
After torturing the accused Noman, he was again put in the custody room. The sentry is an eyewitness to the torture of the accused.

The Muharrar was informed when the condition of the accused Noman deteriorated. The accused Noman told the police about the torture by the accused while being transferred to the hospital. The accused died before he reached the hospital.
