Sugar price hits Rs200 mark in Karachi

Sugar price is getting out of control as retail sugar rate has reached Rs200 per kg while wholesale sugar is available for Rs180 per kg, reported 24News HD TV channel on Friday.
Shopkeepers blamed the speculators and hoarders for undue increase in sugar prices.
On the other hand, public also reacted to the sharp increase in sugar prices saying everything including sugar has become out of reach.
Citizens said government is not taking steps to control prices.
