FIA nabs fugitive wanted for 16 years at Islamabad Airport
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration team Wednesday arrested a fugitive wanted in multiple serious criminal cases at Islamabad International Airport.
The suspect, identified as Rizwanullah, had been on the run since 2009 and was wanted by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police. He was taken into custody upon arrival in Pakistan via flight number PK 262.
His name had been placed on the stop list, triggering immediate action by immigration authorities.
According to officials, Rizwanullah is a fugitive in several cases registered in Bannu district. Multiple murder charges had been filed against him at the Merian and Jani Khel police stations. His arrest brings an end to a 16-year-long manhunt and marks a significant success for law enforcement.
The suspect has now been handed over to the concerned authorities for further legal proceedings.
