TikTok banned in Pakistan after PHC ruling

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority on Thursday blocked TikTok App after Peshawar High Court ordered the authority to block the social media app over indecent content.
PTA took to twitter and wrote, “In respectful compliance to the orders of the Peshawar High Court, PTA has issued directions to the service providers to immediately block access to the TikTok App. During the hearing of a case today, the PHC has ordered for the blocking of App.”

The Peshawar High Court on Thursday ordered an immediate ban on the popular social media app TikTok which is owned by Chinese tech giant ByteDance, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. The ruling was delivered in light of complaints against immoral and indecent content on the video-sharing platform.
