The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a notice to Prime Minister Imran Khan over the violation of the code of conduct of the second phase of local body elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Friday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the ECP has also sent notices to KP Chief Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Federal Ministers Asad Umar, Murad Saeed and Anwar Zeb on the same violation.
The sources said that despite the direction of the ECP, the Prime Minister addressed a public gathering in Dir in connection with the second phase of local body elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that is scheduled for March 31, 2022.
