Two illegal Afghans arrested in joint operation in Murree, Jhelum
Two illegal Afghan nationals and a proclaimed offender were arrested during joint search and combing operations in Chakwal, Murree and Jhelum, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to spokesperson, 167 personnel from police, elite force, CTD and intelligence agencies participated in the joint operations.
Step-by-step checking of houses, shops, hotels and vehicles was completed in different areas.
During the search operation in Chakwal, 78 houses and 174 people were checked while detailed screening of 22 people was conducted.
A case was registered in Kallar Kahar after 2.5 kg of drugs were recovered from the possession of a person.
As many as 215 people including houses, shops, hotels and vehicles were checked in different areas of Murree.
A case was registered in Murree for violation of the Tenancy Act while one person was arrested.
About 147 houses and 342 people were checked in Pind Dadan Khan, Jotana and Mohalla Al-Biruni of Jhelum.
Indiscriminate action against illegal activities continued against elements involved.
Search and combing operations for the implementation of the state writ will continue in the future.
