FIA set to recruit 1257 on new posts

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has announced as many as 1,257 new posts that would be filled soon, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Interior Ministry has issued the notification in this regard.
According to the notification, a new post of Additional Director General in PS scale 21 has been created while in grade 20 seven new posts of directors have been announced.
In grade 19, four posts have been created of additional directors and in grade 18, 28 posts of deputy directors.
In grade 17, 56 posts of grade-17 have been created along with three private secretaries.
In grade 16, there will be seven new posts of APS and 15 of superintendents.
Moreover, 97 inspectors, 121 sub-inspectors, 252 assistant sub-inspectors, 159 head constables and 373 constables will also be recruited to the FIA.
It is pertinent to note that the government had imposed a ban on new recruitment in 2013.
After assuming office, FIA Director General Wajid Zia wrote a letter to the government on Jan 22 this year seeking permission to make new appointments and the Finance Ministry has already given a go-ahead on this.
