A bill to amend the Local Government Act was Thursday presented in the Sindh Assembly, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The amendment paved the way for Murtaza Wahab to become the mayor of Karachi.

According to the bill, any person can become mayor, deputy mayor, chairman and vice chairman.

The selected person will have to get himself elected within six months, the draft of the bill said.
