Director Information Technology (IT) Department of private university COMSAT tortured his wife over domestic dispute, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Police station Defence-C has registered a case on the complaint of victim Um-e-Farwa against her husband Dr Syed Asad Hussain after CCTV footage of torture surfaced.

The affected woman says that verbal abuse in front of the children had become a routine and she tolerated 20 years of relationship only for the future of children.

In her complaint, the victim stated that after the abuse and beating by the accused, now there is fear of loss of life.

The police say that the accused has given interim bail and will be arrested soon.
