Govt announces schools to reopen tomorrow

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced that all schools, colleges, and universities across the province will reopen from Monday, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

In his statement, the minister confirmed that academic activities will resume as per routine in all educational institutions.

It is worth mentioning that on May 7, following Indian drone attacks on Pakistani territory, especially in Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the education department had declared holidays in all public and private institutions.

In the wake of Indian aggression, BISE Lahore, Multan, and other boards also postponed all intermediate exams scheduled to begin on Friday (May 9).

According to BISE Lahore Controller of Examinations Zahid Mian, the papers on Quran translation and ethics were postponed, while practical exams of matric students in computer and biology were also deferred.

The Multan Board postponed its HSSC theory papers and SSC practical exams scheduled for May 9. New exam dates will be announced later, officials said.
