Lahore, Multan Boards to resume exams from Monday
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore and Multan have announced the resumption of examinations from May 12, 2025, following a brief disruption due to recent cross-border tensions, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Controller Examinations Zahid Mian advised all candidates to ensure timely arrival at their respective examination centres along with their roll number slips.
According to officials, all education boards across Punjab, including BISE Lahore, will restart the examination process on Monday.
Earlier, intermediate papers scheduled to commence on Friday, May 9, were postponed by BISE Lahore, Multan, and other boards in light of heightened Pakistan-India tensions.
The Quran translation and ethics papers for intermediate students and matric practical exams in computer science and biology were among those postponed.
The new dates for the postponed exams will be announced in due course, according to the examination authorities.
BISE Multan spokesman said Intermediate theory papers and Matric practical exams and all subsequent papers will be as per the date sheet issued earlier. Candidates should appear for the papers as per their roll number slips from Monday. Moreover, Matric students will appear for Chemistry practical and Intermediate students will appear for Mathematics and Biology papers on Monday.
