Sajid Sadpara conquers world's 7th highest peak Dhaulagiri without oxygen support

In a monumental achievement for Pakistan, Sajid Ali Sadpara has successfully scaled Dhaulagiri—the world’s seventh highest mountain standing at 8,167 meters—without the use of supplemental oxygen or any external support, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Located in Nepal, Dhaulagiri is one of the most technically demanding and treacherous peaks in the Himalayas. Sajid’s accomplishment not only reflects exceptional endurance but also cements his position among the elite of global mountaineers.

According to Karar Haideri, Secretary of the Alpine Club of Pakistan, “This feat by Sajid Sadpara is a great honour for Pakistan. We are all extremely proud of his determination and courage.”

All technical climbing gear and support equipment were provided by Kilas, a well-known sponsor of Pakistani expeditions.

This climb is part of a broader spring campaign. On May 5, 2025, four top Pakistani climbers launched expeditions in Nepal to conquer some of the world’s highest peaks—including Everest, Dhaulagiri, and Kanchenjunga.
