US Ambassador Donald Blome on Friday visited the All Pakistan Textile Manufacturers Association (APTMA) office and called on group leader Gohar Ejaz and others.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, some key personalities of the USA including Chris Rettigers and Economic Counsellor Kevin Chung also accompanied the ambassador.

In the meeting, APTMA Chairman Hamid Zaman, Senior Vice Chairman Kamran Arshad, Secretary General Raza Baqir, Shahid Sattar, and other senior members were present.

Talking to the textile business community representatives, the US ambassador said Pakistan should improve its taxation and remove policy inconsistencies.

Donald Blome said America will increase cooperation with Pakistan in many fields in the future and trade, investment, climate change, energy, and education sectors are the priority.

He said trade and investment in the cotton and textile sectors will also be increased in the future. He urged Pakistan to increase exports by benefiting from American liberal economic policy.
