DNA report confirms Khairpur maid was raped by Pir Asad Shah
Report prepared by LUMS Lab forwarded to govt for further action

The rape of Khairpur’s 10-year-old maid Fatima Furro has been confirmed as the DNA samples of the main suspect in the case have been matched with the semen samples taken from the clothes of the deceased girl, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The DNA test report prepared by the LUMS Lab in Lahore confirmed that the little housemaid was raped by the main suspect - Pir Asad Shah.
The lab forwarded its report to the government for further action.
The girl who worked as a domestic help in the Haveli of Pir Asad Shah in Khairpur’s Ranipur area was found dead on August 14 under mysterious circumstances.
Initially, his father said that Fatima died of some stomach-related ailment. She was taken to a private hospital on the night between Aug 14-15. The hospital discharged her after her medical checkup. But when she reached home, she died.
Later, a video started doing rounds on social media showing a seriously injured minor girl lying on a floor while Pir Asad Shah Jeelani, her employer, sleeping on his bed close to her. She could be seen in the video struggling to stand up but soon collapses. She has got torture marks on her body.
These videos were obtained by the police team, which also met some social activists from the area.
A case was registered against Pir Asad Shah, his wife Hina Shah, and his father-in-law on the complaint of the deceased girl’s mother. Police arrested the suspects.
initially, the DNA samples of the prime suspect, Asad Shah, did not match as the officials of the health department had destroyed the specimen due to the influence of the suspect.
The same, however, matched when the DNA samples were processed at a facility in Lahore
Earlier, a DNA report issued by the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences in Jamshoro had stated that “mix DNA profiles” were obtained from semen stains on the clothes of the deceased girl.
