Mohsin Naqvi reviews security arrangements at Rawalpindi Sstadium after Islamabad suicide attack

Federal Interior Minister and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi visited the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium to inspect the security arrangements for the ongoing Pakistan vs Sri Lanka match, following the suicide attack in Islamabad on Tuesday.

During his visit, the minister conducted a thorough review of the measures implemented to ensure the safety of players, officials, and spectators.

He reiterated that the Sri Lankan cricket team has been accorded the status of state guests and assured that their security remains the government’s top priority.

 “There will be no compromise on the safety of our guests,” Naqvi asserted.

The interior minister vowed that maintaining peace and stability while promoting sports and other positive activities is a collective national objective.

 He also lauded the efforts of law enforcement agencies and event organizers for ensuring a secure and encouraging environment for international cricket in Pakistan.
