While declaring the appointment of acting Gomal University Vice Chancellor (VC) Masroor Elahi illegal, the Dera Ismail Khan bench of Peshawar High Court (PHC) Tuesday ordered the appointment of a new VC as per the law, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The PHC also suspended all the orders of acting Gomal University VC Masroor Elahi Babar.

After the court decision, the division of the assets of Gomal University has been stopped again.

It is to be noted here that the acting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor had sent Gomal University VC Dr Iftikhar on forced leave under the duress of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Amin Gandapur.

And, the Vice Chancellor of Agriculture University, Masroor Elahi, had been given the additional charge of acting Gomal University VC.

The students of Gomal College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences danced to celebrate the historic decision of the PHC Dera Ismail Khan bench.
