500 new EV buses will be launched in Karachi and Hyderabad

Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon on Saturday said that 500 new electric buses will be launched in Karachi and Hyderabad under the People's Green Transport Project, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sharjeel Memon said that these buses will be equipped with the latest bus depot, charging stations, automatic fares, and smart monitoring.

He said “Provision of cheap transport with low fares is our topmost priority”.

Sharjeel Memon said that the Flagship Project will help to decrease pollution. He said that the Sindh government approved the Elevated Expressway Project from Karachi Port to Qayyumabad.

The Sindh Senior Minister said that the Pakistan People’s Party government adopted a policy to serve the people through launching public welfare and development projects.

Earlier on Friday, the Sindh government approved major infrastructure and public service projects under the Public-Private Partnership model.

The approvals came during the 48th meeting of the PPP Policy Board, chaired by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah at the CM House.
