Traffic restored on Motorway in Jalalpur Pirwala

Traffic on the four main highways including motorway of Jalalpur Pirwala, including Bahawalpur, Lodhran Permit Road, which was closed after being damaged by the floodwater, has been reopened for vehicular traffic after one month, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

National Highway Authority (NHA) and Punjab Highway Authority (PHA) expedited repair and maintenance work on damaged parts of Gilani Bypass.

According to an official announcement made by the Multan administration, the decision to open the motorway section was taken to facilitate motorists and other commuters using vehicular traffic.

According to the administration, a diversion for vehicular traffic has been provided from Jalalpur Pirwala to reach the highway.

Multan commissioner said that the repair work on the remaining motorway sections, including Gilani Byepass and Jalalpur Pirwala to Och Sharif Motorway would also be reopened for traffic soon.
