China on Thursday named Nong Rong as the new ambassador to Pakistan. 

Currently, Nong Rong is working as a minister with a provincial government in China. 

Incumbent Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing has been transferred to the headquarters in Beijing. He has yet to complete his three-year tenure in Pakistan, as two months of his service in Pakistan are still left. He was named as China’s ambassador to Pakistan in December 2017. 

The incoming Chinese ambassador, Nong Rong, has a vast experience in trade and commerce. 

Outgoing Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing has started his farewell meetings in Pakistan.
