Green Line service to start in Karachi from Nov: Asad Umar

Planning Minister Asad Umar said that Green Line Bus Rapid Transit System (BRT) service in Karachi would become operational from November this year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Asad Umar said that 40 buses are being imported for Green Line BRT Service in Karachi. 

Asad Umar was addressing a press conference in Karachi along with Minister for Ports and Shipping was also present in the press conference.

Asad rejected the idea of tax collection for KMC through electricity bills. He vowed to complete five mega projects in the port city. He said the federal government will construct 55 KM roads in the sprawling city of Karachi.

The cleanliness operation was 100% completed in Mahmoodabad Nullah while 11lakh ton waste will be lifted from other nullahs in Karachi, he added.

Asad rejected the idea of tax collection for KMC through electricity bills. He vowed to complete five mega projects in the port city. He said the federal government will construct 55 KM roads in the sprawling city of Karachi.

He claimed that the K-4 water project will be completed by October 2023. 

Planning Minister Asad Umar also promise to approve the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway project.

He said delimitations in Karachi will be conducted after the conduction of census on modern lines by the federal government.
