The profit rates on National Savings Schemes certificates have been revised, reported 24News HD TV channel on Thursday. 

According to the notification, the Special Savings certificates' profit rate has been increased from 8.17 percent to 8.40 percent. On three-month Savings certificates, the profit rate has been decreased from 6.96 percent to 6.88 and the profit rate on six-month Savings certificates has been decreased from 7.20 percent to 7.12. 

The profit rates on Defense Savings Certificates, Bahbood Savings Certificates, and Pensioners Benefit Account as well as Regular and Savings Accounts have not been revised.

The notification says the revised profit rates will take effect from August 13.
