All Stakeholders Conference rejects LB bill, demands separating Karachi from Sindh
All Stakeholders Conference Sunday rejected the controversial local body’s amendment bill and suggested Prime Minister Imran Khan to make Karachi a separate province from Sindh.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, all political parties mobilized against the controversial Amendment Local Government Bill passed in Sindh Assembly.
The conference was held at a local hotel in Karachi on Sunday in which different political parties including PTI, Muttahida Alliance and some social sector organizations representatives participated.
Federal Minister Asad Umar addressing the stakeholders said he will do whatever he can against the said bill following the constitution. Asad said that there was no need to invent any new system.
Wasim Akhtar said, "When I cried for authority, I was laughed at, but now everyone is crying."
Later, a unanimous resolution against the bill was also tabled at the end of the All Stakeholders Conference.
