The Sindh government Sunday announced holding Karachi Green Marathon on December 25 to mark Quaid-e-Azam's birthday.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab addressed a press conference at Bagh Ibn Qasim in Clifton and said they would rehabilitate the parks for youth.

He said unfortunately there has always been an attempt to give a negative impression of Karachi, adding that they should give a positive impression by opening parks, sea and sports fields.

Murtaza Wahab said that the playgrounds and parks are the property of the citizens of Karachi and their rehabilitation is his government’s responsibility. He said they will make Karachi green.

He clarified that peace in Karachi has now been restored through the efforts of the government and law enforcement agencies. He added that restoring sports activities will bring back the colours of Karachi.
