Child dies, four held in different incidents in Karachi
In different incidents in Karachi, a child died after falling into a tank while four suspects were arrested during an operation against the criminals in North Nazimabad’s area Khandu Goth, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the details, mobile searchers, jawans, and lady searchers from various police stations, including North Nazimabad, Hydari, participated in a combing operation that was carried out by North Nazimabad Khandu Goth police.
Following a house-to-house search and checking, the police apprehended several suspects and then police searched for their criminal records and data with the help of a search device.
When the police found out the criminal records of the 4 suspects, they were arrested and taken to the police station, while other people who had been detained were released following an investigation.
Cases have been registered against the arrested accused and investigation has been initiated.
In the same fashion, a wounded accused was arrested during an alleged police encounter near Landhi No.6.
According to the rescue officials, the accused was injured during two-way exchange of fire.
Separately, a man named Nusrat was injured in a firing near Korangi Nasir Jump.
Police sources quoted that the firing incident occurred during the robbery bid on resistance. Two suspects tried to stop the injured, but when the wounded man would not stop, they opened fire at him.
Child dies after falling into tank
In other incident, a child died after falling into the tank of Gulistan Johar Alfine Plaza’s house.
The deceased child was identified as 8-year-old Arshad. It was learnt that the child fell into the tank accidently.
The child's body was transferred to the mortuary after post-mortem.
