CM Sindh and PCB chairman discuss Hyderabad Stadium revival and cricket talent hunt

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting on Wednesday to discuss matters of mutual interest, focusing primarily on the upgradation of Hyderabad Stadium and the promotion of cricket talent across the province.

During the meeting, both leaders agreed to take necessary steps to upgrade Hyderabad Stadium to a level where it can host international cricket matches. 

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah stressed the importance of reviving the stadium to provide young cricketers with an opportunity to compete at a global level.

The meeting also emphasized the identification and grooming of cricket talent from urban and rural areas of Sindh. 

Mohsin Naqvi and Murad Shah agreed to launch a structured talent hunt program to scout and train young players, ensuring that Sindh’s youth can progress in professional cricket.

On the occasion, Shah reaffirmed his commitment to bringing young talent forward, stating that the provincial government will fully support initiatives aimed at developing cricket infrastructure and creating opportunities for aspiring players.

Federal Minister Mohsin Naqvi assured that a comprehensive plan for talent scouting and sports development would be formulated soon, enabling young cricketers to receive professional training and exposure.
