Two arrested in Gujrat for committing fraud with Umrah aspirants
The anti-human smuggling circle of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Gujranwala Zone has arrested two suspects who robbed 76 people of billions of rupees under the pretext of sending them to Umrah, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The names of both suspects Muhammad Javed Butt and Muhammad Shahid Butt, who have been taken into custody from Dinga area of Gujrat, are already included in the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL) as they had gone into hiding after receiving huge amounts of money from the people.
They ran a travelling agency named Haji Travels.
It has also been revealed that they also provided to the people fake receipts and fake tickets.
The FIA has said that the suspects are being interrogated.
Director FIA Gujranwala Zone has said that those indulged in such practices will not be spared and taking them to task was the FIA’s responsibility.
