Two 'kidnapped' sisters recovered in Chunian, accused arrested

Changa Manga police on Thursday seized two young sisters in Chunian who were allegedly kidnapped in Lahore.

Police personnel seized the sisters during a routine patrol in the early hours on Thursday. 

According to the police, police personnel stopped two young girls and two boys who were walking on the road in the Changa Manga area at around 4:00 AM. Upon questioning, the girls were identified as Urooj Fatima aged 16/17 years and her sister Manisa Shahzadi aged 12/13 years, residents of Bakkar Mandi.

The boys were identified as Ali Shan, a resident of Bakkar Mandi, Lahore, and his friend Ghulam Farid, a resident of Sherakot, Lahore.

Police said that Ali Shan, who lives in the same locality as kidnapped girl Urooj Fatima, and his friend Ghulam Farid allegedly kidnapped Class 4 student Urooj Fatima and her younger sister after school and brought them to Changa Manga.

Earlier, a case regarding the kidnapping of the two sisters was registered against unknown accused at Nawan Kot Police Station on the complaint of the girls’ father.

Changa Manga SHO Mohsin Sindhu took the two sisters into protective custody. The accused boys were arrested and handed over to Nawan Kot Police Station for legal action.

The parents of the girls were informed and they were handed over to them.
