Papers cancelled as students of Quaid-e-Azam University announce protest strike

Quaid-e-Azam Students Federation at Islamabad’s Quaid-e-Azam University on Monday announced to hold a protest strike until the acceptance of their demands and on the other hand all the exam papers due to be held today were cancelled., reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, the transport section of the University was closed, and the ongoing examination process at the university is likely to be affected due to the protest call.

A spokesman of Quaid-e-Azam Students Federation said that thousands of students are forced to live in private hostels in adjacent areas of the University.

The spokesman said that Capital Development Authority (CDA) started an operation against kachi abadis, and their private hotels are also being demolished.

They said that “Our examinations will start from January 21, 2026, and the CDA should halt the ongoing operation immediately.”

They have demanded that the University management construct a new hostel for the students, the spokesman said and further revealed that their protest will continue until the acceptance of their demands.

Meanwhile, the QAU administration cancelled all the exam papers due to be held today (Monday) due to the strike.
