Founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has decided to go on a hunger strike starting August 5, following Ashura, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.
This decision came after a meeting with party leaders in Adiala Jail.
Former premier Imran Khan has issued orders for all party leaders and workers, both in Pakistan and abroad, to join the hunger strike in solidarity.
He has also instructed lawyers and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to prepare for protests and oppose any potential operations against the party.
Imran Khan has ordered action based on party differences and issued instructions to suspend Sher Afzal Marwat's party membership. This comes after Sher Afzal Marwat was issued a show cause notice by the party, which he responded to, but remained silent thereafter. Marwat, currently in England, is expected to return to Pakistan tomorrow.
Imran Khan has also indicated potential action against those who publicly disagree within the party, emphasizing unity and adherence to party directives.
This follows his earlier instruction to Marwat to refrain from making public statements.
