Rising dollar and oil prices have created a new storm of inflation as Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has suddenly increased fares by 25 per cent on domestic and international flights, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The two-way tickets for flights from Lahore to Karachi, Islamabad, Toronto, Dammam, Sharjah, Dubai and Saudi Arabia have increased.

The one-side ticket from Lahore to Karachi is being charged from Rs28,000 to Rs30,000.

According to sources, the fare of the national airline from Lahore to Toronto has reached Rs458,716.

The fare from Lahore to Toronto executive economy class reached Rs667,000.

The two-way economy class tickets from Lahore to Sharjah reached Rs113,927,

The ticket for the executive economy has risen to more than 135,000.

The ticket from Lahore to Dammam economy class is Rs135,222.

The two-way fare from Lahore to Dubai has gone up to Rs109,000.

The two-way fare from Lahore to Karachi is Rs64,150.

The fare for the executive economy class has gone up to Rs85,930.
