Love marriage dispute claims three lives in Gujranwala

Gujranwala police have reported a shocking honour-related killing in which a man allegedly murdered his daughter, son-in-law, and a domestic worker in the Cantonment area of the city on Friday.

According to police officials, the suspect, identified as Tariq, allegedly opened fire and killed his daughter Faiza, her husband Wahid, and a domestic worker known as Bhutto.

Police said Faiza Tariq had married Wahid of Kaleke Mandi, Hafizabad District, by choice during Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations earlier this year, which is believed to have led to family tensions.

After the killings, the suspect, along with his family members, reportedly fled the scene.

The police have launched a search operation to arrest the accused and his accomplices.

The bodies were shifted for post-mortem examination, while law enforcement agencies continue to investigate the motive and circumstances behind the brutal incident.
