3 storey building collapsed in Multan, 9 killed including 7-member of a family

At least 9 people died including 7 members of a family while 2 others got serious injured as a dilapidated building collapsed in Multan’s Haram Gate chowk, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to police, three storey building caved in at Mohalla Jogian in Multan on Tuesday, which also caused damages to nearby buildings.

Two families were residing in an old building. A total of 11 members of two family, who were residing in the building, were buried under the debris. After the information of the incident, rescue teams rushed to the site and started the relief activities and recovered the 9 dead bodies and 2 serious injured from the debris.

Among the 9 dead bodies, 7 members of a family were identified as husband Fahim Abbas and wife Sanobir while the children were identified as Danish, Wasim, Ameer Ali, Bakhtawar Amin and Komal. While the serious injured were identified as Waqar and Mussarrat Bibi.

The dead bodies and the injured were shifted to Nishtar Hospital while emergency was declared in the hospital. Deputy Commissioner Multan Rizwan Qadeer and CCPO Multan personally inspected the relief activities while more than 80 rescue officials performed the rescue activities at the site.
