Pakistan Stock Exchange gains 319.23 points

The Pakistan Stock Exchange at last moved in some direction – fortunately in the positive direction – as the KSE-100 Index gained 319.23 points on Tuesday.
The index remained in the green zone for the entire session and closed at 33.603.02 as a total of 149,317,224 shares were traded.
The latest gains came after the stock market remained flat during the last two sessions with the KSE-100 Index gaining 16.10 points on Monday and shedding 36.47 points on Friday.
During the session, the share prices of 200 companies went up and those 117 went down. The prices of the remaining 18 unchanged as a total of 335 companies saw their shares being traded.
The automobile sector presented a strong showing as the share prices of 14 out of 17 companies made gains.
Meanwhile, all the cement companies saw their share prices going up with the Lucky Cement making a gain of Rs17.33.
Similarly, the engineering sector experienced a positive session after many days while the fertilizers companies too were among the best performers.
However, it was a mixed day for the oil and gas exploration as well as the marketing companies.
