The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Thursday announced the first phase of Local Government Elections in 14 districts of Sindh province on June 26.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, nomination papers can be submitted till May 16. The next day (May 17), an initial list of candidates will be published.

As per the schedule, the scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on May 20 while the candidates can file their appeals from May 24 to 27. 

The last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is May 30 while on May 31, the election symbols will be allotted to the candidates. Polling will be held on June 26.

In the second phase, local body elections will be held in 16 districts on July 24, 2022.
