Seven killed as rival groups clash in Nowshera

At least seven people including four brothers lost their lives when rival groups locked in an armed clash over a land passageway in Nowshera on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The deadly duel took place in Mian Essa area of Nowshera, triggered by a dispute over a passageway in front of a house.

Four of the deceased, all brothers, belonged to one group while the three belonged to the other group.

According to police, the accused fled the scene after the shootout.

The police shifted the bodies to DHQ Hospital for post-mortem while immediately starting an investigation into the tragic incident.

Earlier in April 2026, five people were killed when two groups exchanged fire over a land dispute allegedly linked to illegal gold mining in the Nizampur area of Nowshera district.
