Punjab govt decides to conduct feasibility study for electric vehicles use

The Punjab government has decided to conduct a feasibility study for the use of electric vehicles across the province.
According to details, Punjab Energy Efficiency Company has started contacts with companies aspiring for consultancy.
The consultancy company will present a report on the use of electric vehicles in the feasibility report.
A report will also be prepared on charging stations, infrastructure and on improvements of roads.
In the first phase, special surveys will be conducted in Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi.
Authorities will also review the federal government's policy on the use of electric vehicles. Legislation on the use of electric vehicles and construction of labs will also be reported.
