China launches official website for third belt and road forum

China has unveiled the official website for the upcoming Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, set to take place in Beijing from October 17 to 18. The website, available in both Chinese and English, is designed to serve as a comprehensive source of information and updates for the upcoming event.

The official website, [www.beltandroadforum.org](http://www.beltandroadforum.org/), will play a pivotal role in disseminating forum news in real-time. It also boasts a 3D globe web interface, offering visitors an immersive experience as they explore the global circle of friends participating in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Additionally, a dedicated media center website for the forum has been launched at [www.brfmc2023.cn](http://www.brfmc2023.cn/), which will provide a wealth of relevant information and services to both domestic and international journalists attending the event.

The Belt and Road Initiative, often referred to as BRI, is a massive global development project spearheaded by China, focusing on enhancing connectivity, trade, and economic cooperation across Asia, Europe, Africa, and beyond. As it enters its third iteration, the Belt and Road Forum remains a significant platform for discussions and collaborations among participating nations.

BRI in Pakistan: A Vital Connection

Pakistan has been an integral participant in the Belt and Road Initiative, with a series of projects aimed at bolstering infrastructure, trade, and economic development. These projects have played a vital role in improving the country's connectivity and economic prospects.

China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC): This flagship project within the Belt and Road Initiative is a network of roads, railways, and energy infrastructure aimed at connecting the Chinese city of Kashgar to Pakistan's Gwadar Port. CPEC has not only improved transportation links but also helped address Pakistan's energy needs.

Gwadar Port:Located on the southwestern coast of Pakistan, Gwadar Port has become a strategic trade hub, offering access to the Arabian Sea and the Gulf region. The expansion and development of the port have facilitated international trade.

Karachi-Lahore Motorway: The construction of this motorway has significantly reduced travel time between the two major cities, stimulating economic activity and trade.

Orange Line Metro:This mass transit system in Lahore has eased traffic congestion and enhanced urban mobility.

Hydropower Projects:BRI has facilitated the development of hydropower projects, contributing to Pakistan's energy security and helping alleviate electricity shortages.

These initiatives have not only contributed to Pakistan's infrastructure development but have also bolstered economic growth, job creation, and trade opportunities, thereby strengthening the China-Pakistan economic partnership.
