Pakistani team departs for Kuwait for AFC Asian 2027 Qualifier

The Pakistani football team left for Kuwait to play a match against Afghanistan in the AFC Asian 2027 Qualifier, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The national team will arrive in Kuwait on a private airline. Pakistan will play its match on October 14, 2025 at 8 pm at Sabah Al Salam Stadium, Kuwait.

Earlier, on October 9, 2025, Pakistan was held to a 0-0 draw by Afghanistan at the Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad. Otis Khan missed a crucial penalty as the hosts secured their first point in the third round of qualifying for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup.

Nolberto Solano’s side dominated possession and created the clearer chances throughout the match, taking advantage of a fatigued Afghan squad that had arrived in the capital less than 24 hours before kickoff due to a prolonged visa delay.
