Passenger dies mid-air on Jeddah–Lahore flight after sudden heart attack

A passenger on Airblue Flight PA-471 from Jeddah to Lahore passed away mid-flight after suffering a sudden heart attack, airport sources confirmed.

According to details, the passenger’s condition deteriorated unexpectedly during the flight, prompting the captain to immediately contact Karachi Air Traffic Control and request permission for an emergency medical landing.

After receiving clearance, the pilot safely landed the aircraft at Karachi Airport, where medical teams and paramedics were already on standby. Upon examination, doctors confirmed that the passenger had died before landing, reportedly due to a heart attack.

The body of the deceased passenger will be sent to Lahore via an alternate flight, authorities stated.
