Inside Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s ‘fun’ double date with David Henrie
Selena Gomez and her fiancé Benny Blanco, recently enjoyed a “great time” on a double date with her Wizards Beyond Waverly Place costar David Henrie and his wife, Maria Cahill.
Speaking to People from the set of the upcoming second instalment of the Disney series, Henrie, 36, opened up about the evening with his longtime friend Gomez and her soon-to-be husband.
“We went on a double date not too long ago with her and Benny, and that was fun,” Henrie shared.
The actor praised Blanco’s taste, revealing he impressed everyone with his selection of drinks and food. “There was wine. There was good wine,” Henrie said. “Benny knows his wine, and he knows food, and we had a great time.”
Henrie also expressed admiration for Blanco, saying: “It was great to get to know him.”
As Gomez and Blanco prepare for their wedding, Henrie revealed that his wife offered the Only Murders in the Building star some personal advice.
“They talked about our wedding experience, and then they’ve talked about just the process a bit,” he explained.
Looking ahead, Henrie confirmed he hopes to be part of Gomez’s big day. “I definitely want to attend, and I’m really hoping I can make it despite my schedule,” he said.
Gomez recently revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that her wedding invitations have already been sent out, adding that her Only Murders costar Martin Short will serve as the ring bearer.
