Police arrest suspect wanted for killing wife and three children

Chiniot police have arrested the main suspect wanted in connection with the alleged murder of his wife and three children, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday. 

According to police, the suspect, Shah Nawaz, allegedly killed his wife, Fazilat Bibi, and fled on August 30 after taking their three children with him.

The bodies of the three children were recovered from a pit in Chak No. 126, Nikokara, on September 4, police said.

The deceased children were identified as seven-year-old Ali Nawaz, eight-year-old Umm-ul-Baneen and two-year-old Saba Zahra.

Police said Shah Nawaz has been arrested on allegations of killing his wife and three children.

Further investigation into the case is under way.

DPO Dr Naveed Atif announced commendation certificates and cash rewards for the police team involved in arresting the suspect.
