Saudi Arabia says drone attack on East Pipeline was launched from Iraq

Saudi Arabia has said that a drone attack targeting its East Pipeline was launched from Iraqi territory, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.

According to the Saudi Foreign Ministry, the pipeline in the Riyadh and Madinah regions had been temporarily shut down following the attack.

Meanwhile, the Iraqi military has announced an investigation into the reported attack on the Saudi pipeline.

Iraqi Prime Minister has also dismissed a senior military commander following the incident.

In another development, Iraq has decided to close the Shalamcheh border crossing with Iran amid heightened regional tensions.
