The cabinet’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Monday approved the allocation of 0.2 million metric tons of wheat for the Utility Stores Corporation.

Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh presided over the meeting of the ECC.

The ECC approved the release of Rs8.69 billion for buying the wheat reserves that will be given to the utility stores from the Pakistan Agricultural Storage and Services Corporation (PASSCO).
