Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Saturday announced to launch a countrywide tour to mobilise the masses for the real freedom.
He said he would hold gatherings in all corners of the country including all the major cities to mobilise the masses and termed it the final moments before the country heads towards the freedom in the real sense.
He said he will hold gatherings in Rawalpindi and Karachi next week and after that he will visit Sindh to compete with Asif Ali Zardari who has made the Sindh people hostage through his underhand tactics. He said he will visit Hyderabad and Sukkur. He said he will hold rallies in Peshawar, Mardan, Attock, Abbottabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, Jhelum, Gujrat, Faisalabad and Gujranwala.
The venue is jam-packed with PTI supporters while many were still queuing outside the stadium as all the roads leading to the Nishtar Sports Complex is overwhelmed with zealous PTI supporters.
Imran welcomed the crowd and praised its passion and fervour. He said he would give his roadmap of “real freedom” and the steps that needed to be taken for its achievement.
“I’m not ready to compromise on my people’s interests,” the former prime minister said, adding that he would never allow the nation to become a slave to anyone.
He said he would unite the nation and together it would pay off the country’s loans and stand on its feet after bearing difficult times.
“I know my nation is ready for sacrifices. The struggle for real freedom will continue until we don’t send the imported government packing and have fair and free elections.
He said that a plot was being hatched to disqualify him in Toshakhana and prohibited funding cases to pay way for PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif’s return from London.
“They have made a new plan to register new cases and disqualify Imran Khan in Toshakhana, and prohibited funding cases,” he said.
Imran said the purpose to disqualify him was to strike a deal with him to nullify Nawaz’s lifetime disqualification so that both can compete in political arena.
“Under the conspiracy Nawaz will be brought back to the country by the end of September… and a character assassination campaign will be launched to malign me.”
Friends, not masters
He once again said that he was not anti-American and want friendship with Washington but doesn’t want its slavery.
He said that he was not against any country and Pakistani community is the most powerful in America.
Revealing his strategy to achieve “Haqeeqi Azadi”, Imran Khan said fear was the most dangerous idol which enslaved human beings and a slave nation can never prosper.”
He said that there are four types of slavery that man does, Quaid-e-Azam gave us freedom from one slavery. Islam did not spread by the sword rather it spread due to the revolution created by Hazrat Muhammad (SW) in the minds.
We have to free the youth mentally by following the example of our Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SW), he added.
Khan said the slavery of fear is the most terrible form of slavery, the biggest tragedy in the history of Muslims happened in Karbala, the people of Kufa knew that Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) was on the right path, the people of Kufa, because of the fear of Yazid, killed Imam Hussain. The third fear is that the job or business will not end, because of these three fears, a person is afraid to follow the right path. The fourth slavery is the absence of justice in society, he elaborated.
PTI Chairman said that Allah has blessed Pakistan with plenty of resources. Continuing his speech, he said that he himself has never bowed before anyone, nor will he allow the nation to bow before anyone. The former prime minister further said two families ruled for 30 years and made the nation indebted, first they indebted the nation and now they say they will die if they do not enslave America.
He recalled that America threatened Pervez Musharraf to participate in the war. Unfortunately, Musharraf knelt down at that time, the Pakistani nation paid a heavy price for participating in the war. Pakistan had to pay for it heavily.
He said that his visit to Russia was for the people of Pakistan as our country needs cheap oil, gas, and wheat from Moscow. If India refused to accept the pressure of America regarding the purchasing of oil from Russia, why not Pakistan, he questioned.
Addressing the massive rally, he said that he is not against any foreign country including America but he wants friendship with the USA on equal footing not slavery to anyone. He said that our country is lucky enough that its women are ready to fight to achieve real freedom and to make the country free from all fears.
Pervaiz Elahi threatens Rana Sana
Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi while addressing the rally said he will not rest until he “takes revenge from those involved in inflicting violence” on the PTI workers during their May 25 long march.
The PML-Q leader also warned Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, saying soon he will be put behind bars and “handed over death sentence” in the Model Town case.
Elahi said PTI Chairman Imran and army have cordial ties and added that opponents have failed to create rifts between the two.
Last week, the PTI announced to hold a "historic power show" in Hockey Ground on the eve of Pakistan's 75th independence day, which will be celebrated tomorrow.
Talking to media persons at the rally's venue earlier today, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said that the theme of the gathering was "Haqeeqi Azadi".
"What is true freedom? It is believing that we won't bow down in front of anyone except God. This is Imran's goal and this is the theme of our rally."
He went on to say that the PTI chairman would reveal the future strategy of the party tonight as the "party has entered the final stages of our movement".
Khan asked his supporters to attend the jalsa in a video message released on Twitter yesterday (Friday).
“I have invited all of you for this and everyone has to participate with me. We will celebrate and decide how to reach the ideology on which Pakistan was made,” the PTI chairperson had said.

Incredible turnout even before Kaptaan's arrival. Can't wait for the historic speech of Imran Khan. Yesterday, he said that the worst that could happen in struggle for Haqeeqi Azaadi is that we'll fail, my heart says he will lead this Nation to victory soon! #حقیقی_آزادی_جلسہ pic.twitter.com/VlMfkCv5K6— Jibran Ilyas (@agentjay2009) August 13, 2022
