Lady traffic warden suspended over slapping minors in Gujar Khan

A lady traffic warden was suspended after CCTV footage surfaced showing her allegedly slapping minors in Gujar Khan, a Rawalpindi Traffic Police spokesperson said.

According to the spokesperson, Lady Traffic Warden Asma allegedly tried to stop a motorcyclist, who ran over her feet and fled into a nearby building.

The warden then caught hold of children at the location and allegedly slapped them. CCTV footage of the incident was obtained by 24 News and also circulated on social media.

Following the emergence of the video, Chief Traffic Officer Rawalpindi suspended Asma and issued her a charge sheet.

The traffic police spokesperson said departmental action was initiated over the incident, which took place in Gujar Khan.
